A brave choice
As shadows stretch, Ashley folds the old line out of sight. “Show me the first turn,” she tells Bayley.
A happy turn
Through a hollow log, under ferns, across the pebble creek: home! Ashley draws the new way on her map.

And the moral of the story

“When the path changes, find a new way.”
