How the story goes

One small trouble. Three turns.

A peek for grown-ups, so you know where the story is headed before you turn the first page.

  1. A small trouble

Cody finds a perfect spiral pressed into the morning mud. “Who made you?” he asks, and follows the trail.

  2. A brave choice

His guesses keep missing. So with Kelly, he lists only what the ground has shown: small, slow, curved, shiny.

  3. A happy turn

Over the edge of a wet leaf moves a tiny snail. “Answer found,” says Kelly. “Question found,” says Cody.

And the moral of the story

“Every question opens a door.”

Say it together at the last page. It’s short on purpose.

For grown-ups · After the last page
