How the story goes

One small trouble. Three turns.

A peek for grown-ups, so you know where the story is headed before you turn the first page.

  1. A small trouble

The meadow’s neat flower parade meets a muddy puddle, and a wagon wheel splashes mud across Ida’s white flower.

  2. A brave choice

Everyone groans. Ida looks down at the upside-down sky in the puddle. “Would you like a wiggly parade?” she asks Tony.

  3. A happy turn

The rows curve around puddles, and nobody stays clean. At bedtime Ida presses her flower flat, brown dot and all.

And the moral of the story

“Slow down and see the small wonders.”

Say it together at the last page. It’s short on purpose.
