  1. A small trouble

    Cody runs through Margo’s garden, his tail hits the shelf, and her new seed pot cracks.

  2. A brave choice

    “Out of the garden,” Margo says, hot with anger. Cody comes back with glue sap, and she passes him the pieces through the gate.

  3. A happy turn

    The mended pot has a bright seam. Margo opens the gate—“Walking feet”—and soon a green curl rises.

And the moral of the story

“Forgiving lets a friend start again.”
