How the story goes

One small trouble. Three turns.

A peek for grown-ups, so you know where the story is headed before you turn the first page.

  1. A small trouble

Rain soaks Glen’s hilltop picnic. He lists everything it took: the view, the game, the cake, dry feet, sunshine.

  2. A brave choice

Claire gives him a leaf pocket for anything the rain didn’t take. In go a striped pebble, creek mint, a dry blue feather.

  3. A happy turn

His pocket grows heavy anyway. At bedtime Glen listens to the rain drumming, and likes it.

And the moral of the story

“Look for the good, and you’ll find more of it.”

Say it together at the last page. It’s short on purpose.
