A small trouble
Halley plans the finest reading nest, all by herself, and skips Karen’s bendy blue twigs. Then her gold twig cracks.
A brave choice
Halley wants the fix to be her idea. But when Karen sets down a crooked blue twig, Halley asks, “Will you show me?”
A happy turn
They weave it in together, a bright crooked line in the rim. “Entirely by us,” says Halley.

And the moral of the story

“A great idea can come from anyone, so listen.”

Say it together at the last page. It’s short on purpose.
