How the story goes

One small trouble. Three turns.

A peek for grown-ups, so you know where the story is headed before you turn the first page.

  1. A small trouble

Swimming by the old pier with Oakley, Ingrid spots the missing pearl shell from Patrice’s music box. Oakley is busy with bubbles.

  2. A brave choice

Nobody is watching. Keeping it until tomorrow feels almost the same, but Ingrid promised to bring it back.

  3. A happy turn

She slips it into the box. When Patrice asks who found it, Ingrid says, “I did. I almost kept it.”

And the moral of the story

“Do the right thing, even when no one sees.”

Say it together at the last page. It’s short on purpose.

For grown-ups · After the last page

  2. 2Why do you think Ingrid told Patrice she almost kept it?
  3. 3What would you do if you found something a friend lost?
